Magnetic Object (2004)

The sound for this piece was made from rewiring the head of an old cassette player. Many of the samples are distorted versions of Louis Armstrong, the Spice Girls and Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. After the sound piece was edited I took the discarded ribbons and used them to do sort of a strip tease, pretending as if my body were the tape head.
